Tim Carey is a Clinical Psychologist and the Vice President of the Australian Psychological Society and Director for the Centre of Rural and Remote Mental Health in Alice Springs. Tim shares some interesting insights about Perceptual Control Theory and his work on transdiagnostic cognitive therapy called the Method of Levels (MOL; www.methodoflevels.com.au ). Tim is I’m also in the process of creating, testing, and improving an app that’s along the lines of the therapy but really to help people maintain a sense of contentment and wellbeing in the day-to-day practice. The app is called MindSurf. At the moment it’s only available for iPhones. Listen along to hear his amazing contributions to the field of psychology and interesting information about out perceptions.
